North Hills Raleigh is gearing up for exciting Independence Day Celebrations.
On Saturday, July 3 at 10 a.m., children of all ages will decorate their bikes and participate in the bike parade. The best decorated bikes could win first and second place awards. All participants should meet at Moe’s prior to the 10 a.m. start time.
After the parade, there will be a watermelon eating contest. There will be separate divisions for adults and children. In addition to watermelon king or queen bragging rights, winners will also receive prizes.

Tomorrow (Thursday) from 6pm-9pm the Midtown Music Series continues with a performance by Liquid Pleasure. The band, which has been entertaining audiences for over two decades, last played here at North Hills in October, and they also played here back in July.
Come on out to the Commons tomorrow night for drinks, music and good times.
The Canes take on Boston tonight in game three of the second round of the playoffs. GO CANES!!

Tonight “A Walk for Wishes” fashion show will take place outside of Vivace. This open-air, red carpet event is being presented by The Spectacle and Vivace and proceeds from the event go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Models will be featuring clothing and styles from Liles Clothing Studio and Vermillion.
The runway walk will take place from 6:00-6:30pm and music from BC3 will run from 6:30-9:00pm. This should be a cool event and I’m going to try to make it out there for a few minutes tonight. Hope to see you there!

This Saturday (April 4) and next Saturday (April 11), the Easter Bunny will be hoppin around North Hills Raleigh from 10am to 1pm. I’ve heard that the Bunny will be handing out small treats for young shoppers and other information for adults. Head over to the Commons if you’re interested in seeing and/or getting pictures with the Easter Bunny.

I took this picture today at North Hills standing on Dartmouth Road and looking towards the construction behind the Captrust Tower (I think it may be the Park & Market apartments but I’m not positive). The photo was taken with my Canon PowerShot SD750, a great little camera that works in a variety of situations. For this shot, I set it to pull out all color, except for the blue sky. I’m definitely not an expert photographer, but I liked how it turned out.

The recent launch of new bus services in Raleigh has got me thinking about North Hills.
