North Hills Raleigh is gearing up for exciting Independence Day Celebrations.
On Saturday, July 3 at 10 a.m., children of all ages will decorate their bikes and participate in the bike parade. The best decorated bikes could win first and second place awards. All participants should meet at Moe’s prior to the 10 a.m. start time.
After the parade, there will be a watermelon eating contest. There will be separate divisions for adults and children. In addition to watermelon king or queen bragging rights, winners will also receive prizes.

“Iron Man 2,” currently the No. 1 movie in the country, opened last weekend and we (triangle.com) decided to have a meetup centered around the film. We needed to find a good location for our Twitter group to dine and watch the movie so we reached out to North Hills. They were more than willing to host and the Iron Man 2 Tweetup was born!

Due to overwhelming support, North Hills will continue its medical supply drive through Friday, Jan. 22. A donation area is located between Learning Express and LensCrafters. North Hills is working collaboratively with Horne Memorial United Methodist Church (HMUMC) in Clayton, N.C. for Haitian relief efforts. North Hills will serve as a collection location for supplies that are needed immediately in Haiti (see list below). With missionaries and medical personnel from HMUMC already located in Haiti, there is an effective plan in place for disseminating the collected items upon their arrival. …

In honor of Veteran’s Day, the United Service Organizations of North Carolina and other military support organizations will honor and support America’s military and their families with a public ceremony. Triangle-area military support organizations will raise the flags of their respective organizations on new, 30-foot poles outside of CAPTRUST Tower at North Hills. After Veteran’s Day, the flags will be permanently replaced with five American flags.

Today, Kane Realty announced that North Hills is now offering free wireless Internet access for shoppers, diners, residents, hotel guests and employees–pretty much anyone who comes to North Hills. About 370,000 square feet is equipped for WiFi.
