North Tower and Independents Week
North Tower will perform on Thursday (July 2) as part of the 2009 Midtown Music Series. The band has been playing great beach, top 40, oldies and party music for 30 years.
This week’s music will feature a special appearance by Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker, who (with Kane Realty) will declare the week of July 1-7 “Independents Week” in honor of Raleigh’s locally owned businesses. Owners of 60 independent businesses in North Hills have been inivited to join Mayor Meeker on stage. Shop Local Raleigh, a membership group that supports local businesses, is also involved.
Come out and support local business owners and hear some great music on Thursday. Stay tuned for more info about the 4th of July festivities that will be taking place at North Hills on Saturday.

In regards to the Beach Music Series currently underway at North Hills Commons, I had the pleasure of seeing the North Tower Band play on Thursday, July 2nd. I was pleased beyond belief! Their music was so enjoyable and true-to-form Southeastern beach music hits. Their talent is unsurpassed and they are so engaging and fun! Please have them return to your venue in the near future.

Hey Jason, I’m the drummer/webmaster of the North Tower Band and I was wondering if anyone had submitted pictures of the event we played on the 2nd. If so, I was wondering if it would be possible for me to post them on our website, crediting your site and the photographer of course.

North Tower is the most professional, crowd pleasing band you guys have had in 2 years. I agree–bring them back in the fall, and next season for sure. North Tower is also a good band for the whole family to enjoy.
