President Bush To Appear at McCrory Fundraiser

President Bush will arrive in Raleigh today at 4:30pm for a private event to raise money for Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory’s gubernatorial campaign. The fundraiser will take place at  John Kane’s home. Kane is the chairman and CEO of Kane Realty Corporation, which had led the redevelopment of the North Hills area in Raleigh.

According to WRAL.com, more than 100 people are expected to pay at least $4,000 to attend this private event.

    you seem to be happy about this? I suppose the giant kane realty link on this blog shows you support this event and others.

    no thanks north hills. this person is responsible for the deaths of how many hundreds of thousands of innocent people? not to mention thousands of US serviceman, for what?

    it’s a sad day when someone is proud to have such a criminal in their own back yard.

    Where did you get that I may be happy or unhappy about this? This isn’t a political website. We write about things that happen in the North Hills area and this is just one of them. We report news and events, which is what this was.

    Also, we have no affiliation with Kane Realty. We just happen to like this area a lot and report on things that happen here.

    its too bad they had to disrupt tens of thousands of local residents’ schedules by shutting down Wade Ave, parts of the beltline and other Raleigh routes for this not-very-important event.
