On March 8, Lather Hair Salon in Raleigh marked its sixth month in business by providing professional hair styling for a fashion spread for Social The Magazine, featuring spring couture from Catch 22 boutique.

The photo session took place at The Spectacle, a fashion eyewear shop in North Hills shopping center. Heather Long of Catch 22 told Lather’s Jessica Williams and Lauren Lawson that she envisioned a natural style to complement the clothing, so the stylists created soft curls for the model.

This was the first time Lather stylists worked with Social’s photographer Terrence Jones and fashion director Betzi Hekman of Love Assassins Productions.

“It was fun!” said Williams, owner and senior stylist. “Betzi, Terrence, and all the other people involved couldn’t have made it more relaxing. And I always enjoy doing hair on location. It gets us out of the salon and lets us be really creative.”

Opened in October 2008, Lather is a full-service hair salon located at 8521 Cantilever Way near the corner of Glenwood Ave./Highway 70 and Ebenezer Church Road. .
