I wanted to share some cool news I just received. To take advantage of the North Hills nightlife and dining scene on Friday nights, select stores are staying open later to accommodate extra shoppers. You can actually shop while you wait for a table at certain restaurants, which will call/text you when your table is ready. Be sure to ask if the restaurant you visit does this; I wouldn’t want you to go shopping and then find out your table has been taken by someone else!

Some stores that are staying open late on Fridays include:

• optical communicationAlltel – Yeah, I have to give them a shout out, even though I’m the only person I know that still uses their service. I haven’t had any problems with it, except in the mountains of West Virginia. But in Raleigh, service is great.
• Omega Sports – I bought a new basketball from there recently. Great place for sports equipment and shoes.
• AT&T – Maybe you’re waiting for a seat at Firebird’s and decide you want an iPhone. AT&T will be there for you.
