A Walk For Wishes Fashion Event – Recap

April 26 2009 2 Comments

A Walk for Wishes Event at North HillsOn Friday night, the “A Walk For Wishes” fashion show took place outside of The Spectacle and Vivace here at North Hills. Over 100 people came out to watch the event and hopefully donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which was the charity tie-in. Kitty Kinnin was the MC during the show, while male and female models walked outside in front of Vivace wearing styles from Liles Clothing Studio and Vermillion.

After the show, Chalon Carter gave a very moving speech about how the Make-A-Wish Foundation positively impacted her life when she was sick as a teenager. She told the story of how she was able to visit Hawaii because of the Foundation and what that trip meant to her.

Overall, it was a great event for a great cause.

We were also able to get some good videos of the event, including:

  • Footage of the female models strutting their stuff
  • An interview with Chalon and Suzanne Sutter, who is the President and CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern North Carolina
  • Some thoughts about the event and the Make-A-Wish Foundation from Wick Morgan (owner of The Spectacle)
