Ruth’s Chris Coming to North Hills

According to the Triangle Business Journal, Ruth’s Chris Steak House will take the place of JK’s at North Hills Raleigh. JK’s reportedly will close on February 23, and Ruth’s Chris is expected to open on April 1.

I’ll be sad to see JK’s go. I loved their bar and the bar menu, especially the Big Ass Burger. From what I observed, JK’s had a decent crowd whenever I went, so I’m not sure if they choose to close or if Kane decided not to renew their lease.

I can’t wait to try Ruth’s Chris, and JK’s is reportedly opening a new location somewhere in Raleigh in the coming months.

Too bad to see JK’s leaving. Where are they moving to?

To my understanding, Jk’s lease was not to be renewed. The new Jk’s will be on Lake Boone Trail, outside the beltline, about 1/4 mile up on the left, just past the traffic light, in a new center. It should be similar to the old, with the addition of lunch service, a wrap around deck and covered patio, and more/better parking options. A butcher shop is also under consideration. It is expected to be open in mid-summer. I am sad to see the old location close, but I cannot wait for the new one to arrive. All signs point to it eclipsing the current one from the get go. Keep an ear out and an eye open for the news!
