On Friday night, the “A Walk For Wishes” fashion show took place outside of The Spectacle and Vivace here at North Hills. Over 100 people came out to watch the event and hopefully donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which was the charity tie-in. Kitty Kinnin was the MC during the show, while male and female models walked outside in front of Vivace wearing styles from Liles Clothing Studio and Vermillion.

Tonight “A Walk for Wishes” fashion show will take place outside of Vivace. This open-air, red carpet event is being presented by The Spectacle and Vivace and proceeds from the event go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Models will be featuring clothing and styles from Liles Clothing Studio and Vermillion.
The runway walk will take place from 6:00-6:30pm and music from BC3 will run from 6:30-9:00pm. This should be a cool event and I’m going to try to make it out there for a few minutes tonight. Hope to see you there!

Just wanted to share some information about the Bike For Hope race on April 25. This is a bicycling fundraiser for the Foundation of Hope for Research and Treatment of Mental Illness. There will be 50-, 32- and 5-10 mile Family Fun Ride routes available as well as Big Wheel races, a bike decorating contest and more family activities. I’ll be joining a group of Triangle residents tomorrow at Raleigh Twestival, which is a party at Edge Office to support Charity:Water, an organization that is dedicated to bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. The Midtown Music Fall Harvest Concert Series continues tomorrow night with a performance by Sugar from 6:30pm – 9:00pm over at the Commons at North Hills. Sugar plays cover songs by bands such as Jet, Journey, Bon Jovi, No Doubt, Tom Petty and The Killers–a very cool variety of music. Last night’s block party (sponsored by The Spectacle, Von Kekel Salon and Vivace) benefiting WakeMed’s Just for Kids Kampaign was an awesome time. There was beer and wine, food from Vivace and music by Effigy, who played an assortment of rock covers from bands such as Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, ACDC and Lit. Everyone really seemed to be having a good time, and hopefully the event raised some money for a good cause.
