News and Community for North Hills Raleigh
If you’re on MyBlogLog, be sure to join the North Hills Buzz community. For those of you who don’t know, MyBlogLog is another way to connect with other people around shared interests, find blogs you’re interested in, and spread the word about your blog.
North Hills Raleigh is obviously a community–it’s an area with a group of people who live in the same general area, share mutual acquaintances, and shop and eat at some of the same restaurants and stores. Our goal here at North Hills is to bring the community element online and make this a place where people can share North Hills-related news, find information about shopping, restauarants and nightlife, and discuss the development of this area as openly and honestly as possible.
In 2008, we’re going to try to offer more ways you can join the conversation. While we try to offer you a good amount of information about North Hills, we know we need to do a better job at fostering community online. One blogger, Chris Bloczynski, has a great post about understanding communities, especially the various pieces that go into building an online community. We’re going to try to take a lesson from Chris and do a better job at community-building this year.
