Tomorrow (Thursday, April 24) from 6:00pm-8:30pm will be the second week of the Midtown Music Shag Series here at North Hills. After The Embers played a great show last week, The Castaways take the stage tomorrow. Last week’s event brought out a good number of people - I am guessing at least 500-600 - and the drinks weren’t too expensive, either (beer starts at $3). I didn’t stay for long due to other plans, but I had a good time.
The weather should be awesome tomorrow (sunny and high 78) so I look forward to seeing some you out there, if you can make it.

It’s almost time for the lighting of the North Hills Christmas tree, and all the festivities that go along with it. The events will take place on Saturday, November 24, starting at 4:30pm. The schedule is as follows:
4:30-5:00 pm: Holiday on Ice Show
5:00 pm: Inis Cairde Dance Performance
5:20 pm: The Long Leaf Opera
6:00 pm: Santa Parade
6:10 pm: Tree Lighting
6:15-8:00 pm: Santa Visits
6:20-8:00 pm: Laura Ridgeway
Also, you may want to stop by Kane Residential for drinks and appetizers starting at 4:30pm to see their new scale model of The Lassiter.

If you enjoy sampling delicious food while listening to good music, then you should definitely check out “A Taste of North Hills.” The event takes place next Wednesday (October 24) from 6-8pm in the main North Hills Commons area. North Hills restaurants will be featuring samples from their menus and the North Carolina Symphony Ensemble will perform during this relaxing evening of food and fun.
You can’t go wrong with good food and good music. If you could pick one restaurant to poach samples from which one would you choose and why?
