In honor of Veteran’s Day, the United Service Organizations of North Carolina and other military support organizations will honor and support America’s military and their families with a public ceremony. Triangle-area military support organizations will raise the flags of their respective organizations on new, 30-foot poles outside of CAPTRUST Tower at North Hills. After Veteran’s Day, the flags will be permanently replaced with five American flags.

North Tower will perform on Thursday (July 2) as part of the 2009 Midtown Music Series. The band has been playing great beach, top 40, oldies and party music for 30 years.

This Saturday (April 4) and next Saturday (April 11), the Easter Bunny will be hoppin around North Hills Raleigh from 10am to 1pm. I’ve heard that the Bunny will be handing out small treats for young shoppers and other information for adults. Everyone had a great time last night at Fox & Hound for St. Patrick’s Day festivities, which included green beer, a snowboard giveaway and a bikini contest. Check out the videos (introduction and three rounds from the bikini contest) and pictures from the night!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! If you’re Irish (or have a 5th cousin/great great great grandfather/really awesome friend that’s Irish) say yeaaah! I’m part Irish, but I think it’s just a fun holiday and good excuse to get together with friends.

Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. From what I’ve heard the Christmas Tree Lighting at North Hills on Nov. 22 was a great event. I stopped by before everything got started but I couldn’t stay for the entire thing. Based on what I saw, it looked like Kane Realty really went all out for this event with:

real snow from snow blowers on top of a few buildings
