This year’s Midtown Music Series kicked off on April 16 with a performance from The Embers. The band returns tonight for a second show over at the Commons at North Hills from 6pm-9pm.
It should be a great night for music/chillin so come check out the festivities. You can see some pictures/video from The Embers’ first performance here.

Tomorrow (Thursday) from 6pm-9pm the Midtown Music Series continues with a performance by Liquid Pleasure. The band, which has been entertaining audiences for over two decades, last played here at North Hills in October, and they also played here back in July.
Come on out to the Commons tomorrow night for drinks, music and good times.
The Canes take on Boston tonight in game three of the second round of the playoffs. GO CANES!!

The Tams will be peforming tomorrow night at North Hills Raleigh as part of the 2009 Midtown Music Series, which features beach music outside at the Commons in a relaxed setting.
The music starts at around 6:00pm and I recommend getting there on time (or early) so you can hopefully score a parking space. If the weather tomorrow is as awesome as it’s been the last few days, the event should be packed.

The 2009 Midtown Music Concert Series at North Hills kicks off tomorrow (Thursday, April 16) with a performance by The Embers. The series features outdoor beach music concerts that run every Thursday through August from 6pm to 9pm over at the Commons (area by the movie theater) at North Hills.

Every Thursday, Mura has live music in the bar area from Russ Thompson. Music starts at 7pm and will go until closing time.
Russ Thompson is a great accoustic guitarist/songwriter, and he’s been playing music in the Raleigh/Durham area for the past six years. You can hear some of his songs on his MySpace page. Russ also plays at The Blue Martini every Monday night starting at 10pm.

Liquid Pleasure will be back at North Hills Raleigh this Thursday from 6:30 – 9:00pm for the Midtown Music Fall Harvest Concert Series. The band last played here at the end of July, but is back by popular demand. Liquid Pleasure has been entertaining audiences for more than two decades with hits from artists/bands such as The Temptations, James Brown, The Drifters and Chuck Berry.

The Midtown Music Fall Harvest Concert Series continues tomorrow night with a performance by Sugar from 6:30pm – 9:00pm over at the Commons at North Hills. Sugar plays cover songs by bands such as Jet, Journey, Bon Jovi, No Doubt, Tom Petty and The Killers–a very cool variety of music. Join us Thursday night at North Hills/Midtown Raleigh for a performance by Cafe Mars from 6:30-8:30pm on the Commons. This is part of the Midtown Music Fall Harvest Concert Series, which takes place every Thursday night in October.
